Connecting CIP devices to any other Fieldbus and

Industrial Ethernet network and PLC system

These Anybus X-gateways are bridges between a non-CIP PLC system

(Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi etc) and Rockwell Automaon devices

with a DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP interface.

The X-gateway copies cyclic I/O data in both direcons enabling data

exchange between networks. This ensures a consistent informaon ow

throughout the enre plant.

When to use

Integrang Rockwell Automaon

devices (eg. drives) on DeviceNet

or EtherNet/IP to another network

and PLC system.

Ulizing the Scanner interface on

the X-gateway means a Rockwell

Automaon PLC and RSNetworx

is not required. This can be of

benet when retro-ng an

exisng (non-CIP) installaon with

Rockwell Automaon devices.

The X-gateway consists of two communicaon interfaces. The rst

interface provides Scanner funconality controlling up to 63 DeviceNet

and EtherNet/IP adapters. The second Adapter/Slave interface can

support any one of 12 other industrial networks.

• An easy way to transmit I/O data between a ControlNet,

DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP network and all other major eldbus

and Ethernet networks

• Allows for cyclic I/O data exchange between networks

• Fast I/O data transfer with average ming between

networks: 10-15 ms

• Addional parameter data supported (depending on network

combinaon)

• Oponal control and status informaon added to the I/O data for

diagnosc purposes

• Included Anybus OPC server for extended funconality available

with the EtherNet/IP version

• Included IT funcons such as integrated web server, e-mail and

FTP client

• Robust stand-alone metal housing with CE and

cercaons
